Animal Hybrid

The assignment that we had to create this quarter was to make an Animal hybrid. The first step to creating my animal hybrid was first picking the parts of three different animals. After that I traced the arts I wanted to use by using the pen tool. When I had all my pieces traced out, I created shadows and highlights to bring out the body part more. Then I filed them in with the color I wanted use. I was required to have three different animals in the project and create a background that represented my animal’s climate and surroundings. For this assignment I used Abode Illustrator.

The three animals I chose were a pig, a whale and a panda. I combined the pig’s face; the whale’s tale and the panda’s body. In my background I included clouds, and ice mountain a little lake and my character animal is holding a plate of sushi to eat.

The threes animals I chose represent my personality is the pig represents that I love to eat and as everyone knows so does pigs. I chose the panda because am very adventurous because the climb trees and go searching and that’s sort of like me and there cute. My final animal I chose was a whale because the love the water and swimming and so do I. The background environment relates to my animal because the pig, the whale, and the panda all live in warm climates not really cold. So I decide that I wanted to do just the opposite for it.

On this assignment I think did very well , I actually I think its one of the nicest assignments I did so far. The best thing I like about my animal is the face I think its so in detail that I captures the pig so well. I would change the body a bit more , for example bring out the legs more to show where it is. A new tool I learned was the symbol, which helped me finish my background.
